Energy Management

I love a good time management strategy. But even the best frameworks can fall flat when my energy is off.

That got me curious: What if I structured my day not just around tasks, but around energy? What would it look like to build a rhythm that honors where I’m at?

🌅 1. Ease into the morning (15 - 60 mins)
Start with presence, not pressure. Connect with your voice before the world gets loud.
* Movement that feels right for your body (stretch, walk, workout)
* Hydration + nourishing breakfast
* Gratitude or joy practice
* Breathwork & intention setting:  “How do I want to feel today?”,  “What matters most to me today?”

🎯 2. Focus Windows
Honor your focus window with clear boundaries. Lead from choice instead of “have to, need to, should.”
* Choose 1 - 3 clear priorities
* Work in 50 - 90 min blocks + 10 - 15 min energy resets (music, stretch, something fun). Pro tip: Adapt your focus windows to fit your natural rhythms. You know your energy better than any system or framework
* Some days are “life by calendar” - give yourself grace

🌞 3. Midday Reset (15 - 60 mins)
Shift from drained to recharged.
* Take a real lunch away from screens
* Joy break: text/talk to someone who grounds you, read, touch grass, scroll guilt-free
* Gratitude or breath check-in

🌇 4. Wind Down
Release the day and reconnect with yourself and others.
* Create a sense of “nesting”: relax in a cozy, calm space
* Reflect: “What gave me energy today?” Pro tip: Incorporate this as part of your routine
* Create a “tomorrow list” to release the tension of what’s next

Energy management isn’t soft—it’s strategic. When we structure our days around our energy, we unlock the clarity, creativity, and presence needed to lead well.

What would shift if you honored where you’re at today?
